Actress Yvone Craig has passed away at the age of 78. She was best known for playing Batgirl in the 1960s Batman television series. Her most famous character's secret identity was Barbara Gordon, daughter of Gotham City's Police's Commissioner Gordon. She also worked as a librarian. It's doubtful whether she inspired anybody to become a librarian, but it's fun to think that perhaps she did.
